Prevention is easier than cure!

January 21, 2020

It is very important that colorectal cancer is one of the few oncological diseases for which effective prevention exists that is, the disease can be prevented. And this can be done using colonoscopy. Think about it: perhaps it is time to take care of your health and undergo an examination, which is actually not at all as scary as they write about it?!

Colonoscopy can detect cancer at an early stage — when the disease is most easily treated. But it is also an opportunity to prevent the development of cancer by removing polyps, which over time can turn into a serious problem.

Regular bowel screening is the only way to protect yourself from the disease. It is advisable to undergo the first colonoscopy at the age of 50, but it is increasingly believed that the optimal age for starting screening is 45 years. If there were cases of colorectal cancer in the family, then you need to see a doctor even earlier.

In LISOD, such an examination is carried out on modern equipment by experienced specialists who have been trained in clinics in Israel and Europe. So that the patient does not feel pain and discomfort, medication sleep is used. Thanks to this, the doctor calmly and in detail examines the intestinal mucosa, paying attention to the slightest suspicious changes. The advantage of colonoscopy over other research methods is that the doctor can immediately remove polyps or areas requiring a histological evaluation. Depending on the condition of the mucosa, the doctor will recommend when it is best to re-screen.

There is nothing fearful or shameful in colonoscopy. Perceive it as the possibility to take care of yourself and your future. Apply for diagnostics and make sure that your health is in safety.
